Thank you for wanting to contibute on Wildfire Games's Gitea instance. Before you use it, please read this Terms of Use agreement carefully.

This website is an instance of the Gitea platform, provided by Wildfire Games. On this platform, the Wildfire Games team and contributors develop the 0 A.D. game, as well as related tools. This platform also acts as a place for sharing knowledge about the development, and feedback about the status of the game.

We provide this service “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. Without limiting this, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, regarding the service including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, security, accuracy and non-infringement.

The content you post here constitutes a contribution to a free and open-source project. As such, it is published under an adequate license. The code you upload to the git repositories is released under the license specified in LICENSE.txt at the root of the main repository. You can override this by inserting a specific license text at the top of the code files you upload. All the text and artwork you send on the Web on this Gitea instance is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

If you are a copyright owner and you believe that some content uploaded to this Gitea instance violates your copyright, please contact Wildfire Games. Before sending a takedown notice, please consider legal uses (such as fair use and licensed use), and legal consequences for sending false notices.

This platform is not directed to young children, who generally do not have programming knowledge to share here, and who should not be subjected to the description and depiction of violence in the game. As such, the minimum age to use this Gitea instance is 13 (COPPA §312.2).

By using this Gitea instance, you agree to:

  1. Follow all usage policies.
  2. Use the service at your own risk. Wildfire Games does not take responsibility for the content posted by users or damages resulting from this service (see below for details).
  3. Only create one account per person on the service unless authorized by Wildfire Games.
  4. Keep your account secure and not share your credentials without extreme caution.
  5. Not post profanity, pejorative terms or pornographic content.
  6. Release all the content you post under a Creative Commons or open-source license (see above for details).
  7. Not upload copyrighted material advertised as original content. If you upload non-original content, you must comply with the distribution procedure imposed by the license of the material you upload.
  8. Not post sensitive personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, political affiliations, religious/philosophical beliefs, biometric data, age under 13, etc.) about yourself.
  9. Not violate the privacy of other users by disclosing personally identifiable information (for example real name, location, ID) or private details (for example social media or messenger account names) about them without their consent.
  10. Not harass, harm, intimidate, discriminate, threaten, defame, cause damage to others or purposefully demean the worth of others using this service.
  11. Not incite violence or promote illegal acts.
  12. Not spam the service through the API nor through the upload of git blobs, and not send large amounts of repetitive or unwanted posts.
  13. Not use the service to promote specific goods, services, or products unless authorized by Wildfire Games.

Wildfire Games reserves the right to:

  1. Moderate the service, i.e. enforce the Terms of Use by restricting, suspending or terminating user accounts.
  2. Refuse or remove any submitted content that violates the terms, or that we deem to constitute copyright infrigment.
  3. Discontinue or interrupt any part of the service at any time.
  4. Change the service or the terms. The document date of the terms indicate its version.
  5. Process personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.

Wildfire Games does not warrant that this service will meet your requirements; that this service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that the information provided through this service is accurate, reliable or correct; that any defects or errors will be corrected; that this service will be available at any particular time or location; or that this service is free of viruses or other harmful components. You assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your downloading and/or use of files, information, content or other material obtained from this service.

If parts of the terms are held to be illegal or otherwise unenforceable, the remainder of the terms shall still apply ('severability').
