Allow aggressive inlining of MD5 buffer updates (particularly for
fixed-size updates).
Make UTF-8 conversion a little faster.
This was SVN commit r7581.
also rename wchar -> utf8 to avoid conflict with <wchar.h> (requires
rebuild of workspace)
(unfortunately copying history fails to "502 bad gateway"; had to delete
old + add new independently)
This was SVN commit r7340.
test_bits: add tests for all routines in bits.h
hpet: add safety check
unit.h, bits.h, DOMEvent.h: change T(~0) to ~T(0) (required when T is
64-bit)
This was SVN commit r6335.
this snowballed into a massive search+destroy of the hodgepodge of
mostly equivalent types we had in use (int, uint, unsigned, unsigned
int, i32, u32, ulong, uintN).
it is more efficient to use 64-bit types in 64-bit mode, so the
preferred default is size_t (for anything remotely resembling a size or
index). tile coordinates are ssize_t to allow more efficient conversion
to/from floating point. flags are int because we almost never need more
than 15 distinct bits, bit test/set is not slower and int is fastest to
type. finally, some data that is pretty much directly passed to OpenGL
is now typed accordingly.
after several hours, the code now requires fewer casts and less
guesswork.
other changes:
- unit and player IDs now have an "invalid id" constant in the
respective class to avoid casting and -1
- fix some endian/64-bit bugs in the map (un)packing. added a
convenience function to write/read a size_t.
- ia32: change CPUID interface to allow passing in ecx (required for
cache topology detection, which I need at work). remove some unneeded
functions from asm, replace with intrinsics where possible.
This was SVN commit r5942.
# The engine now builds and runs on Mac OS X.
Most changes were localized to the sysdep/ folder and the build system.
This
is what porting should be like! Hopefully nothing breaks on the other
platforms though ;-)
This was SVN commit r5081.
. timer, config: fix definition of ALLOW_RDTSC
. add movsx_be64 (for whirlpool), revise implementation, move to
byte_order, add test
. MAX -> std::max, remove those macros
. add timestamp to system_info as requested by philip
This was SVN commit r5050.
- remove headers always included from PCH
- nommgr.h is only included ifdef REDEFINED_NEW (allows leaving out the
mmgr stuff)
- in lib/*.cpp, moved the corresponding include file to right behind the
PCH (catches headers that aren't compilable by themselves)
- byte_order no longer depends on SDL
- add debug_level (another means of filtering debug output; needed for
thesis)
- split posix stuff up into subdirs (lib/posix and sysdep/win/wposix).
makes including only some of the modules (e.g. sockets, time) much
easier.
This was SVN commit r4728.
* Fixed some bugs with incorrect macro usage (SDL_BYTE_ORDER vs
SDL_BYTEORDER, {MSC,GCC}_VER vs {MSC,GCC}_VERSION, OS_WIN/OS_UNIX in
projects where they're not defined).
* Removed some redundant declarations of g_Console.
* Removed some unnecessary semicolons.
* Removed some unused variables.
* Added throw specification to operator new.
This was SVN commit r4698.
archive: afile_read bugfix (wasn't returning byte count)
byte_order: add to_leXX, implement read_leXX in terms of that, add
write_leXX (and also big-endian versions)
compression: support 0 length buffers + minor fixes
file: no longer support passing fn_len (that didn't work anyway due to
DynHashTbl find(const char*) interface); add FILE_DONT_SET_FN
optimization that prevents cluttering name cache.
file_cache: add logic to verify load/free/load/free sequence; add
FILE_LONG_LIVED flag to specify exceptions (e.g. XMB files that don't
free their buffer immediately)
vfs_mount/vfs_tree: bugfix (was mixing up portable and VFS paths)
vfs_optimizer: small fixes; creating Zip files now works
vfs_tree: add PathName that stores pointer to path and name component
for efficiency + convenience
zip: bugfixes (wasn't endian safe; incorrect handling of cmethod; forgot
to initialize ZipArchive members)
config: add -buildarchive flag
Xeromyces.cpp, FileUnpacker.cpp: add FILE_LONG_LIVED
mapreader: bump time estimate for ReadXML
This was SVN commit r3446.
- switch() statements don't handle all values in an enum
- missing \n at end of file
- non-virtual destructors in classes containing virtual functions
- order of initializers in constructor initializer lists
... some other stuff (signedness, nested comments, unused variables) as
well.
This was SVN commit r2864.
